Welcome

IAATI United Kingdom Branch

President's Message

Dear Members,

I hope everyone is well and on the road to getting back to as normal state as we can expect after such unprecedented times.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and the restrictions in place in the UK, we were not able to convene a conference, where we could meet and network face-to-face.

Meanwhile, the UK Branch Board has met via Zoom every month since March 2020. We have launched the Alliance magazine. As a member you are invited to submit articles of interest and highlighting your experience for publication. If you are a company and you wish to advertise in it, please contact me.

I thank the IAATI UK Board for their service these past two years during the unprecedented and difficult times we have all been living through.

Last year’s (2021-2) Board members were:

Hannah Chowdhury (WWRC)

Paul Harrison (DSTL)

Ritchie Gamble (Garda)

Iain McKinlay (Police Scotland)

Chris Elliott (NFU Ret)

David Crilly (JLR)

Darren Faulds (Police Scotland)

Simon Ashton (MET Police Ret)

Martyn Huntley (JLR)

Peter Wilson (GMP)

Ian Thwaites (PoD Police)

Pete Stanley

The new (2022-3) Board consists of:

Hannah Chowdhury (WWRC)

Paul Harrison (DSTL)

Iain McKinlay (Police Scotland)

Chris Elliott (NFU Ret)

David Crilly (JLR)

Darren Faulds (Police Scotland)

Martyn Huntley (JLR)

Peter Wilson (Datatag)

Gary Moore (Police Scotland)

Your newly-elected UK Board will be working hard to make the next UK conference as interesting and successful as those we have organised and hosted in the past.

We are working on fresh initiatives to provide each of you with as much value for your membership fee as we can. Your ideas and suggestions for events, knowledge transfer and communications are welcomed.

Working with Police forces around the UK and Ireland, as well as with vehicle insurers, product and services solution suppliers, I am certain that we can cover a lot of questions and find potential solutions.

Please ask if there is anything you as a member would like to see and learn about. You do not have to be a Board member to help and assist to make IAATI into the conduit of knowledge and cooperation that it can be. Together, let us take the fight to the criminals.

Thank you and all the best!

Mike Briggs
